लिखने के लिए बहुत कुछ है पूरा प्रोग्राम ही इस तरह से डिजाइन किया गया है कि हर क्षण आपके लिए एक नया अनुभव होता है । इस प्रोग्राम की एक सबसे बड़ी खूबसूरती यह है कि हम ना सिर्फ अमेरिका में हैं बल्कि यहां 40 अलग-अलग देशों से आए शिक्षकों के साथ है। सभी शिक्षक एक साथ नहीं है इनको चार अलग-अलग विश्वविद्यालयों में बांट दिया गया है। मेरे साथ जॉर्ज मेसन विश्वविद्यालय में जो कुल मिलाकर 18 शिक्षक हैं जो 16 अलग-अलग देशों से आते हैं। ये 16 अलग अलग देश तीन महाद्वीपों में स्थित है- एशिया,अफ्रीका तथा साउथ अमेरिका। एशिया से हमारे साथ भारत और बांग्लादेश के शिक्षक

स्कूल में आज मेरा पांचवा दिन था। जैसे जैसे बच्चों को पता चल रहा है कि मैं इंडिया से आया हूं, बच्चे मुझसे मिलने आ रहे हैं। और सबसे मजेदार बात यह है कि बांग्लादेशी बच्चे,पाकिस्तानी बच्चे, तिब्बती मूल के बच्चे और नेपाली बच्चे यह सब मुझसे मिलने आ रहे हैं। आज अनुष्का मिली जो दिल्ली से ही है । अब सीधे हिंदी में ही बातचीत शुरू हो जाती है। अनुष्का इस बात से अवगत है कि उसका नाम भारत में बहुत प्रसिद्ध है। Shanghai, पाकिस्तानी शहर लाहौर से है। Hassan मिले जो कि इराक से हैं। और वंशिका उत्तर प्रदेश के शहर बनारस से हैं। सभी बच्चे हिंदी या उर्दू बोल पा रहे थे बातों बातों में ही,

Can we have CCTV Please

The news that the Delhi government is going to install CCTV cameras in all the classrooms of various Delhi Govt schools and that the parents should be given access to see the classroom processes, is making headlines in the media.

Professor Krishna Kumar has written a very well-thought piece arguing against the installation of CCTV cameras in Delhi Government Schools. In principle, no one can challenge the stand Prof. Kumar has taken in his article for Indian Express.

 राजनीति विज्ञान पढ़ाते हुए यूं ही कभी -कभी यह सवाल बच्चों से पूछ लेता हूं कि क्या राजनीति में उनकी दिलचस्पी है । एक-दो बच्चे अपना हाथ उठाकर अपनी दिलचस्पी दिखाते हैं और जो बच्चे हाथ उठाते हैं बाकी बच्चे उनकी तरफ बहुत ही हिकारत की नजर से देखते हैं । 

Most of the teachers, I meet these days have been turning euphoric thanks to the recent decision of introducing board exams for junior classes. This news is being received with such euphoria that it is being welcomed as nothing less than a ‘golden era’ in education! The level of excitement has personally left me wondering about how such a significant percentage of teachers are supporting the introduction of board exam in junior classes. I am not able to comprehend their joy.

In-service teacher training is an integral part of the teaching profession. Every year; both, public and private schools conduct in-service trainings for their teachers as it has been made mandatory by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education)- the regulatory body for teacher education in India.
