आज के इस दौर में, जहाँ कई कारणों से सरकारी विद्यालयों के प्रति समाज में अविश्वास पनपा हैI या यूं कहें की निजीकरण के दौर में जहाँ, सरकारी विद्यालय संसाधनों और अध्यापकों की तंगी से जूझ रहे हैंI जब सरकारी विद्यालयों में लगातार छात्रों की संख्या घट रही है, ऐसे में दिल्ली में शिक्षा का बजट 25% होना उम्मीद की किरण जगा रहा थाI दिल्ली की शिक्षा व्यवस्था में होने वाले परिवर्तनों के क्रम में, दिल्ली शिक्षा विभाग के मेंटर शिक्षकों का एक समूह, जनवरी 2019 में महाराष्ट्र के जिला सतारा तथा जिला परभणी में राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक भ्रमण पर भेजा गया, ताकि देश के कोने-कोने में हो रहे, सकार

A child starts using Math even before learning a native language. A toddler prefers to go towards a box containing 4 candies than to a box containing 2 candies. But as the child grows and starts doing the math operation with a tag of the subject Mathematics, the interest starts diminishing. After researching, I realized that the external factors play a vital role behind this aversion towards Mathematics. Unfortunately, the external factors are the people the child trusts the most i.e. the parents and the teachers.

हम दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूलों के शिक्षकों का एक समूह हाल ही में (मार्च 2020 के शुरुआती हिस्से में) केरल की सार्वजनिक शिक्षा व्यवस्था को समझने के लिए औपचारिक शैक्षिक भ्रमण पर गया था। इस विजिट में हमने वहाँ के सार्वजनिक शिक्षा की मजबूत और दीर्घ विरासत को समझने का प्रयास किया। इसके लिए वहाँ की एससीईआरटी, डायट संस्थान, निगम कार्यालय, पंचायत भवन और कुछ स्कूलों का दौरा किया। केरल अपनी खूबसूरत प्राकृतिक छटा के साथ-साथ शैक्षिक और सामाजिक संपदा से मन को मोह गया।

Teaching as a profession has undergone a sea change in the last few decades, not just in Delhi, but also other parts of the world. Unchecked growth of materialism, social media explosion and degradation of the environment have brought humanity at cross roads. It becomes imperative that education also takes the onus of tackling these challenges and create a win-win situation for all. Teachers on their part are being hailed as change makers with super powers, who can usher in a new world.

वैसे तो बहुत से शिक्षाविदों ने ऐसी मान्यताओं को तार्किक आधार पर सिरे से खारिज किया है जो बच्चों को महज कोरा कागज़ समझती हैं या फिर गीली मिट्टी, जिस पर शिक्षकों, अभिभावकों और बड़ों के द्वारा जो भी लिखा जाएगा वही अंकित होगा। वह जैसे ढाले जाएँगे उसी तरह ढल जाएँगे। इसमें स्वयं उनके प्रयासों, अवलोकनों, अंतर्निहित क्षमताओं या सहज रूप से उपलब्ध परिवेश की भूमिका गौण ही रहेगी। आज भी कमोबेश हमारी शिक्षा व्यवस्था में यही समझ प्रभावी बनी हुई है। स्कूल किताबों को अंतिम ज्ञान मान उसी को रटाने के प्रयास में जुटे हैं।

I am **** currently working as an assistant section officer in ****. I have been selected for tgt maths in **** Delhi govt school for which document verification process is on **sep2020. Now as I discussed it with many teachers of ****they advised me not to join school quoting following problems

Vedika teaches at a private school in Noida. Since the beginning of the lockdown, her salary got reduced and also gets delayed often. At least she is happy that she is able to retain her job.
